Kubis are being used in a wide variety of ways in a couple hundred universities. The information in this post will give you a snapshot about how Kubi Telepresence Robot is being used to support student success with distance learning, to allow remote faculty collaboration, to extend the reach for research programs, and many other ways.
University of Arizona
Michael Griffith at University of Arizona has been one of our power users of Kubi with supporting dozens of courses with Kubi. He has helped guide us on building out many of our software and hardware developments to make Kubi optimized for higher eduction.

University of Colorado Boulder
Kubis have been widely deployed at University of Colorado Boulder through their OIT department and their Modified Foreign Language Program thanks to some grants they have received for various stages of pilots. Their main use case is for supporting course completion and degree completion. Kubi allows CU Boulder to support online students in traditional courses. So, a class that is hosted in a classroom that was originally only intended to support face to face students and did not have the equipment in place to support online students can now still allow an online student.. So, if over the course of the semester/quarter a student gets sick, injured, or has other obligations that prevent them from attending class in person, yet the instructor requires the student’s ‘presence’ in the classroom, the student can now still complete the course. Since the Kubi is completely portable and battery powered, it can literally go anywhere with WiFi.
